I was one of “those kids” who figured out pretty early on what they wanted to do with their life. I saw an Absolut ad, from their iconic campaign in the 80s, and said to myself “Who’s job is it to come up with that? That’s what I want to do!”
Here I am, all these years later, working on some of the best brands, at some of the best agencies in the world. In terms of a job, being a creative is a pretty amazing one. Stressful? Sure. Crazy? Absolutely. Futile? Often. But I’ve always subscribed to Oscar Wilde’s school of thought that “Life is too important to be taken seriously.” I try to have fun in everything I do, especially work. The more fun you’re having, the better the work is. Always.
On a personal note, I was born and raised in Chicago – the eldest of three girls. I entered the world to a standing ovation, which seems like something a first born would do. I’m fiercely independent, have an insatiable curiosity, and consider my sense of humor my best quality. The only one thing I love more than writing is traveling. It’s taught me more than a classroom ever could.
Some fun facts about me: I was baptised over a punch bowl, have been bit by a squirrel, inadvertently blessed by the Pope, and was a caddy in a former life.
