The Open Letters Campaign

The Open Letters Campaign

Of all the work I’ve ever written, I’m most proud of this. The “Open Letters” campaign was originally created for the US, but went on to be produced in six countries and four languages. I was interviewed by the New York Times, got hate mail from the state of New Jersey, and received a Ralphaelson Award – Ogilvy Chicago’s highest accolade for best creative of the year. Additionally, we received a “5” from the Dove clients in the agency review. It’s the highest score you can get, rather unprecedented, and comes with a large bonus for the agency. The real highlight of this campaign though was getting real women from around the world to fart their armpit.

Dear Mrs. Obama | Super Bowl

This was a Super Bowl commercial that was produced and never ran. The media was bought. The spot out the door. Two days before the game, the clients got cold feet, and pulled it. We fought for years to get it aired. Never won.
